.... always stay focused with the teacher
Or rather, try to stay concentrated. Because it's quite impossible to stay always focused on the lesson, don't worry, it's normal. Avoid classmates who spend time laughing. Don't pretend that you can revise by yourself later. Maybe if you managed to do such, it will take 3 times more than the time your teacher can explain it for you.
More, you can gain your teacher respect and also some free time at home.
Try also to understand what your teacher is telling you, especially in scientific subjects, in another words, try to figure out what is the origin of this, and what caused this material to burn.... and so on, don't content with the surface but go deeper, and you'll find someday that you learn quicker... this is what those students who were wasting their time will never enjoy.
